People of India must work
People of India must work
Dalip Singh Wasan, Advocate.
Time has come when people of India must forget their past and they must face the present with boldness and courage. Time is gone when Bhagti and prayers were bringing fruit for the people. At present money is the main consideration in life and people who have got no money with them are declared backward and poor and such people are not getting due position even in society. We have seen that people had been suffering from poverty thinking that it is the gift from the side of God and we must endure it. We never considered the point rightly and we have never come to the conclusion that some of our elders had left us poor and once a family is left poor, then a few generations suffer poverty because the members do not get proper education, proper training and proper adjustment at work with the result their earning power is lowered and they turn poor. Therefore, time has come when all members of the family must work and earn money and bring this money in the house so that this family unit could be run properly.
We are noticing that our people are still busy in Bhagati and they are offering prayers and we can notice that crowds are collected at religious places, they are wasting time, energy and money their and the people who run these religious places are collecting money from them and they are themselves turning rich and have started living like kings. The people must understand that God does not want so much time and so much energy wastage. God does not want that we should give money at these institutions. We can pray before God in two words only and if God is willing He shall accept our prayer and if God is not willing long rehearsals shall not help us and persuade God to help us. All these rituals have been given to us by people who are interested in collecting money from us and these re not right courses.
We must understand that we shall have to earn more and more money and only then we shall be in a position to run our family in a right manner. Only then we shall be able to give to wards proper education and training and proper adjustment at life. The man who is not in a position to earn money often turns frustrated person and he can become a criminal, a sinner and a person who can commit misconduct. We must understand that today we cannot have water and air without money. We must earn and I do not suggest that we should collect money through wrong means because in such cases, we shall be committing a crime, a sin or a misconduct and then we shall be facing difficulties in courts or the like. We should start earning money from the low grade and slowly and steadily we shall be rising and our next generation shall go a step further and in due course we shall be writing off this poverty from our family. Once again, we must accept that all these devotions and recitation from religious books and prayers shall not help us to come out of this poverty zone.
